Winged Migration is less concerned with 'educating' us about the migratory habits of birds than it is with initiating us into their mysteries without ever really explaining those mysteries.

Like the Animal Planet, except they added a great narrative on the existential nature of life and took out all of the encyclopedia facts. Works beautifully, as it turns out.
