Carrie H @RT17055544 Nov 30 I finally watched it! Very well done and very relatable. I deconstructed from Christianity while in college. If I wouldn't have been allowed to attend higher education I probably would still be stuck in it. Loved the focus on music as expression, escape, and a path forward. See more Danelly C @RT30598295 01/21/2025 This documentary was amazing! Wowww just woww. All the memories came rushing in; reminded me of the love, the passion I had for reading and how I was judged and told not to read worldly books but to read the Bible Day & Night. It's lovely to see how creative the Jw's were even for back then and despite what they went through they continued to pursue theyre passions. However, deeply saddened to hear about the losses😥 I wanna watch more & more of these documentaries because it gives me strength and courage to continue speaking out about this Cult! It shows me that we are all victims and WE ARE NOT ALONE! We can fight this together one step at a time. Immense thank you again to all those apart of making this and look forward to the next one. 🙏🏻🤍 See more Atheist C @RT90534513 12/22/2024 I saw this as part of the Decult conference held here in New Zealand earlier this year. I had never realised before how important music and art in general was to young people growing up in JW communities. This is a well written film, clearly informed by director Scott Homan's personal experiences. It successfully shows both the extent of the harm caused by "shunning", and the toil it has taken on the subjects of this film. An emotionally difficult, strikingly honest, and yet empathic look at the impact of leaving a cult. See more Andrew P @RT32554294 12/21/2024 I interviewed the film maker Scott Homan, What a great documentary. If you want to learn about JW, this is a must watch film! See more Dwayne N @RT30996422 12/21/2024 Grateful for this film and the awareness it brings to this cult and it's survivors. it is a good watch for any ex JW & for those who want to know what it was like being one. See more Jonathan I @RT40269112 12/08/2024 Wow, what a story. I thoroughly enjoyed this film. As someone who grew up JW, I'm so thankful and proud of everyone who took part in this production.
