Critic Reviews for Wyoming Mail
It may be set -- a notch, say -- above the run-of-the-range sagebrush saga.
There's a lot of wild galloping over rough terrain, plenty of fisticuffs and gunplay, plus other thrills, and Russel Metty's capable camera captures all of the movement.
Competent and routine B-western.April 17, 2020 | Rating: B- | Full Review…
Except for the caliber of its cast, Wyoming Mail follows the formula of mail robbery with complete fidelity.
It's cops-and-robbers stuff in the U.S. post Civil War days, and where the film really shines is in its virility, and good acting performances.
Technicolor adds a great deal to the picture with some splendid shots of Western scenery.
Audience Reviews for Wyoming Mail
Jan 26, 2015Colorful, enjoyable but ordinary Western would have benefited from a stronger lead actor than McNally. Solid supporting cast with both veterans and up and coming talent of note. Alexis Smith is breathtaking. Notice the care taken in matching her wardrobe to the rooms she occupies, a common practice in old Hollywood but especially noticeable here. The story is nothing you haven't seen before though.jay n Super Reviewer
