Urban Lines I Aug 29 This was a different Lifetime Christmas movie than I’d normally watch. I got drawn in to it after the unexpectedly suspenseful opening scene of the little girl on a field trip. The girl, “Chloe,” played by a young actress named Sophie McLeod, caught my eye and though she wasn’t in a lot of scenes, she was intense and convincing. I thought she and “Aubrey” (played by Monaye Moyes) had instant chemistry. “Finn” (played by Michael Silberblatt) was a character I wish had been explored a little more. Michael brought real charm and life to his complex character and I’m looking forward to seeing other movies he’s been in. And as always, Lisa Long as “Vivian” was a pleasure to watch! Without spoiling any twists and turns, this movie was suspenseful without being over-the-top. I wish it’d been longer. It explored some heavy topics like trafficking, phobias, grief, as well as having (probably the first I’ve ever seen) full scenes where a misunderstood couple used sign language. This is a movie I’d watch again, with actors I’ll definitely be watching out for in the future!
