What to Know

Critics Consensus

Nathan Fielder's ironclad commitment to the bit is pushed to its limit in You Can See Everything, an inscrutable Rorschach Test of Elizabeth Holmes' psyche that's as absorbing as it is haunting.

Audience Says

You Can See Everything flips the documentary form on its head, adding surreal layers to this complex portrait of Holmes and her life -- with questions about how much of either can truly be seen.

Fielder might be fascinated by motive and rationale, but he’s primarily interested in circumstance, and he understands Holmes’ circumstances perfectly. His film is a self-reflexive study of the inability to act as people expect — of masking and deception. Go to Full Review

I can honestly say that, as someone who watches multiple films every week for a living, I don’t see movies this mind-bending often. Or at all. Go to Full Review

A throughline of Fielder’s work is exploring truth’s subjective nature. He’s got a magician’s curiosity about human behavior, situational truths, and people’s willingness to believe. This makes him a great documentarian of Holmes. Go to Full Review

A vital work of meta-storytelling about the limits of treating the camera lens in nonfiction as a divining rod for transparency and authenticity compared to the more compromised tools of fiction. Go to Full Review

forbakgmailcom 37 min ago What the heck but interesting? See more Lisa 41 min ago OMG so overrated! I’ve seen and read just about everything Elizabeth Holmes over the years. The only thing this revealed is that she herself can be Svengali’d. Wait for streaming if you’re curious. See more XLB 43 min ago How difficult is it to discover the truth? See more Ron B 53 min ago Loved it. Such a fascinating and compelling documentary, especially the way the entire narrative shifts once Amanda becomes involved. The revelation near the end, when you realize it’s Nathan swimming with Liz, adds yet another intriguing layer to an already complex story. There’s so much to unpack. What I found particularly brilliant is how the film manages to reveal so much while somehow leaving you with even less clarity about what’s actually true. Just when you think you have a handle on things, your perspective shifts again. I also loved the decision to shoot it in the 4:3 format. It gives the film a distinctive visual intimacy that really complements the storytelling. A brilliant piece of filmmaking. Thought-provoking, unsettling, and the kind of documentary that stays with you long after the credits roll. See more Noel A 3 hrs ago Best film of 2026! A little longer than what I would’ve liked, but it works! See more Tammy 3 hrs ago Very confusing movie. I'm going to look this story up & watch the other show. See more Read all reviews
