...a narrative treadmill; you get the sense Mavis is still out there somewhere, lonely and lost as when we first met her.
Thank you for having some common sense! Just went nowhere! She's almost worse off at the end than in the beginning. If the feeling i got when the credits rolled was what Jason Reitman was going for then mission accomplished. My brow was thoroughly furrowed.

I'm pretty sure that's why the movie was great, Josh Larsen. It just showed a realistic depiction of this character, not a movie-ized version.

So not having a happy ending means it's not a good movie? Get real.
Mar 6 - 05:36 PM
no. not being a good movie means it's not a good movie. I know that wasn't your point but he's saying there was no closure of any kind, not that it didn't have a happy ending.

I agree with Julien. If it left you hanging and felt real, I say the movie is accomplished. Not that you liked it or not

your a critic jackass
That means you critisize people for a living because you have no talent to do what these actors can do.
Mar 9 - 04:45 AM
what do you think it is that critics do Todd? criticize ppl for a living because they CAN do what actors do? cuz if they could they'd be actors, and someone else would have to criticize them. for a living.

Domina Zahara LaFleur
I think she either killed herself thru alcohol or slit her wrist either way, she is only going down.
I think it was a great movie.
I kinda related to her and understood her pain.
