No excitement in the games and overall plot. The love scenes were inappropriate for the character, which is a teenager. The coachs speech in the locker room felt flat. You can easily predict the whats coming next in the movie. I wouldnt waste my time. See more jesse v Mar 9 Not sure why this movie is categorized as Action/Adventure, it's a soft sports drama. The main character is so immaturely egotistical in trying to be a winner and keeps getting into subtle racist fights with all the white characters All seen by a disappointed father and cushioned by a love interest for behavioral comfort (the only female in the whole movie btw). There is also a fallback friend that makes the main character focus more. Also we never see the commentators for some reason nor the backstory of the coach. See more phil Mar 8 The character stories were good. Cinematography was mostly okay, maybe called attention to itself too much. Too many closeups at times, was a little distracting. On ice shooting wasn’t great and as a hockey fan kind of annoying. Refreshing to see a low budget movie on the big screen and not dumped onto a streamer, just wish there had been a slightly bigger budget for the on ice shooting and action.
