Yuvvraaj, does an incredible job with it's storytelling and the performances of most of the actors were amazing as well, yet, it feels as if it wasn't satisfying and an easily forgettable movie.

Yuvvraaj is a film that gives you a head ache for about 3 hours straight. Such an awful and boring film is hard to find. The director disappointed us badly, I mean Salman Khan, Katrina Kaif, Anil Kapoor and others could have been a blockbuster, but the story of this film was so bad it blew its chance. The music and songs from this film may entertain you, but after watching the complete film, you will be regretting.

Definitely not recommended! Only watch if you're bored and interested in musical films for a time-pass!

Verdict = Flop

Subhash Ghai proved the 'worst', he hurried always, he completes a movie within 2-3 months and finally reinstated our despair through duds like Yaadien, Kisna, and Black & White.
'Ghai is known as the showman of bollywood, for making epic movies that portray grandeu and a very rich theme like Hero, Meri Jung, Saudagar, Karma, Ram Lakhan, Taal, but recently he proved his barmy yield like in B & W, and in Yuvvraaj.

Yuvvraaj is not a bad but a boring and a potential contender with Drona and Love Story 2050 disappointing films of 2008.

The script is stale, the screenplay unreal,
Ancestral disputes of 3 brothers Anil Kapoor, Salman Khan & Zayed Khan aren't good one another, Anil is mentally crazy like a child nurturing his music love. Salman is cursing his billionaire father for leaving him to the poverty. The age old formula rich girl, poor guy is thrown into picture with the girl's (Katrina) father (Boman Irani) objecting to their marriage. Zayed Khan is living a prosperous life, banking on his fathers money.

Grand sets, visual impact and cinematography are very good so what Yuvvraaj banks on heavily, brilliant locations in Prague, and Austria captured wonderfully. A.R.Rahman is always exceptional but only one track, A. R. Rahman seldom goes totally wrong however it failed to create the mood for the film like 'Taal' even all tracks were impressive with powerful use of instruments and selection of best voices.

Film Yuvvraaj disappoints primarily in the scripting, screenplay and direction.

A decent story plot that follows the disconnected lives of three brothers. Anger and strife separates them, and years pass when their father dies. Yuvvraaj and Danny return, hoping to inherit money that will enable them to advance in their present lives. Gyanesh, the eldest, is the only one that remained with their father, and thus inherits everything. Bitter about their predicaments, Yuvvraaj and Danny conspire to retrieve the money that they believe is rightfully theirs. Little do they know, it is a plot already devised to bring them all together and see the reality and importance of family.
Great cast- Salman Khan, Katrina Kaif, Anil Kapoor, Zayed Khan, and Boman Irani. Worthy!

Another Masterpiece by Subhash Ghai. Salman acted for once. Anil Kapoor was marvelous, Zayed was just fit in. Good script and Kat was beautiful.

Salman, Anil and and Zayed were good and Katrina Kaif is really cute. I don't understand how these 4 people could all be cast in the same shitty film. The story was good, and it was a nice change from the RomComs. It was so damn weird though. What's with all the white people speaking in Hindi, and the fat black chick singing in Hindi? I don't get it. The comedy was so twisted..

Usually, I can see why films are weird and usually there is an artistic explanation... but in this case... a perfectly good film was ruined by nothing more than a couple of bad actors, and poor directing.

Horrible execution by Subhash Ghai.

Hollywood: Laughs
Bollywood: 2 stars

With a better director and a few cast changes, this could have easily been a 4 star film.

Yuvvraaj had great potential, and could have been made much better. The basic storyline is great, however poorly executed. It seems like the plot never really developed with the slow steps that it should have. it was slow for a while, and then suddenly, it jumped to a whole other realm. I would have expected a lot more from Subhash Ghai, director of Taal and Pardes. This movie is centered around the incredible acting by Anil Kapoor. While Subhash Ghai might not have had the right approach to portraying a mentally challenged guy, Anil Kapoor did the most with what he had, and it turned out to be the best acting of his entire career. Salman Khan's acting was also great. He knows exactly how to act in each one of his movies, changing his style effortlessly, making him one of the most talented actors in bollywood. Zayed Khan has succesfully created his image as the worst actor in bollywood with his crazy screams to the sky. He has no talent whatsoever. Katrina Kaif didn't have that big of a role, and therefore didn't have to do much acting at all. It is always fun to see Boman Irani in a new movie. He always has some way of bringing unique zest to a movie, and never overdoes it with his acting style. He will never get old. The music might not be in A.R. Rahman's top 10, or even his top 20, but he has made some pretty enjoyable songs for this movie. great for the context of the movie, but not 'listen to a hundred times' material. i do believe, though, that if Rahman had chosen K.K. or Abhjeet to sing instead of Sonu Nigam, the songs would top the charts. the scenes and dances of the songs were created on a grand scale, and were appealing to watch. excellent choreography. The concept of this movie was great, but the execution was sub par.

Golden Touch of Subhash Ghai is missing in this movie...The only reason I gave this movie 2 stars is because of the music by A.R.Rahman...and the other thing the film has going for it are fabulous European locations and grand sets plus Great cinematography and good music score...Otherwise bad acting abounds, with the main culprits being Salman and Katrina, horrible acting...Anil Kapoor acts great..
