. . .a film that juggles too many concepts that will either impress or depress.

Because of the leading man that knows how to play as man being 'kulam' to become a gay human and of course to sir Paulate and other big stars, the said pic actually manages to stay on its feet...

Not only is Zombadings guilty of every mistake that leads to bad Filipino filmmaking, it is also unfunny, confused, and stupid, bordering offensive and thoughtless.

A low-budget but entertaining peek at the weirdness of gay life in the Philippines. A silly comedy that is entirely carried by the lead's acting.

Martin Escudero is able to just "go for it" and be both a convincing straight actor and someone transforming into a very queeny gay young man. This carries an otherwise silly movie.

But this movie also strikes some as controversial, showing both the acceptance of gays in the Philippines and the homophobia. Some condemn this movie as suggesting that being gay is a curse; I suggest the only curse is being forced to live as other than your natural self.

Not without its flaws, this movie still manages to present a world that is probably interesting to International audiences.
