Acclaimed documentary filmmaker Frederick Wiseman analyzes the interrelation between animals and their human captors at Miami's Metro Zoo. Looking past the chipper veneer of zoos as venues for childhood wonderment, Wiseman probes the institutional machinations behind the exhibitions, from the dedicated veterinarians and zookeepers who care for the animals to the administrative staff who are tasked with their ethical, technological and financial upkeep.

03/08/2013 Wiseman uses no narration. The realities of the zoo animals and the people who care for them are presented with no editorial viewpoint. It makes for interesting insight into the true "zoo" experience for both the animals and their caretakers.
