3.5/5 Dark Phoenix (2019) Michael Newman It's a fine ending to the series as a whole but can't quite deliver in all the ways I hoped it would. EDIT

5/5 Rocketman (2019) Gareth J. Von Kallenbach The film evokes some unexpected emotion as there were more than a few people wiping their eyes during the film. I truly hope the film is recognized come Awards season as it is a wonderful and memorable cinematic experience. EDIT

2/5 Godzilla: King of the Monsters (2019) Gareth J. Von Kallenbach While it may possibly appeal to hardcore fans, this was a miss for me as there simply was not enough creature action to counter-balance having to sit through the human characters and plodding plot to get to the good stuff. EDIT

4.5/5 Aladdin (2019) Tracey Barrientos In my honest opinion this live-action remake of Disney's Aladdin has been my favorite of the live-action Disney remade films so far. It is a two hour nostalgic film filled wth laughs, action, lots of parkour and good life lessons. EDIT

4.5/5 John Wick: Chapter 3 -- Parabellum (2019) Gareth J. Von Kallenbach John Wick 3 is an epic thrill ride and a symphony of bullets, blades, blood, and bodies and Reeves and the cast have never been better. EDIT

4.5/5 Avengers: Endgame (2019) Gareth J. Von Kallenbach As this phase of the Marvel Film Universe winds down and plans are put in place for the next five years; "Avengers: End Game" is a satisfying conclusion to the epic saga. EDIT
Posted Apr 23, 2019
3/5 Teen Spirit (2018) Josua Aja It is told in a unique way and I would call it a fresh take on the "Cinderella" story. EDIT
Posted Apr 19, 2019
3/5 Hellboy (2019) Michael Newman It's a fun action-packed movie, with lots of gratuitous violence. EDIT
Posted Apr 10, 2019
1.5/5 Pet Sematary (2019) Neil Jordan This movie is not for hard core horror fans, its more for your mom who likes scary movies occasionally. EDIT
Posted Apr 4, 2019
3/5 Dumbo (2019) Gareth J. Von Kallenbach It entertains at times but could have been so much better. EDIT
Posted Mar 27, 2019
3.5/5 Shazam! (2019) Gareth J. Von Kallenbach Levi is very energetic in the part and goes all in and he does a great job of conveying a kid in a man's body. The biggest issue with the film is that there is mostly a lot of humor aimed at a much younger audience and large gaps with minimal action. EDIT

4/5 Us (2019) Michael Newman Us is a movie that is unlike any other and is refreshing when stacked against similar fright films that have been released recently. EDIT
Posted Mar 20, 2019
4.5/5 Captain Marvel (2019) Gareth J. Von Kallenbach It is amazing to me how Marvel Studios can take some of their lesser known characters and turn them into Box Office gold and their winning formula continues with this entertaining new franchise. EDIT

4/5 Fighting With My Family (2019) Michael Newman Fighting with My Family is so much more than simply a "wrestling movie", and while it likely won't convert you into being a die hard wrestling fan at the end, you might just be surprised at how much you take away from it when you leave the theater. EDIT

4.5/5 How to Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World (2019) Barnetty Kushner The entire film was visually stunning, wonderful to see how the animation has evolved since the first installment. A story about love and what we must do to protect those we love most. EDIT

3.5/5 Happy Death Day 2U (2019) Michael Newman It's enjoyable and certainly worth your time if you enjoyed the first one but just isn't quite able to capture the spark of the first. EDIT
Posted Feb 12, 2019
4/5 Alita: Battle Angel (2019) Ryan Guerrar I found myself enjoying this film more than I expected I would. It does tell a sold story of self-discovery in a visually stunning and fully realized world. EDIT

2/5 () Josua Aja Gina Rodriguez is really good in this film. I thought her performance was definitely the best part of this film. Otherwise the performances were a mix bag of good and bad. EDIT
Posted Feb 1, 2019
4/5 Arctic (2018) Michael Newman "Arctic" could almost be mistaken as a documentary, a film about one mans survival in one of the most inhospitable places on the planet. EDIT
Posted Feb 1, 2019
3/5 Cold Pursuit (2019) Gareth J. Von Kallenbach The film is not what you expect as although there is plenty of action at times; it is a Dark Comedy with dramatic elements. It is more in line of what you might expect at a Film Festival from an Indie studio versus a major studio release. EDIT
Posted Jan 30, 2019
3.5/5 Glass (2019) Gareth J. Von Kallenbach The film is at times very enjoyable and at times a bit frustrating as it seems to deviate from themes and elements that were setup earlier. EDIT

Posted Dec 20, 2018
3.5/5 Mortal Engines (2018) Michael Newman While the movie could have been better, I have definitely seen worse and if the idea of massive rolling cities and steampunk set pieces are your thing, then Mortal Engines is certainly worth a look. EDIT

3.5/5 Once Upon a Deadpool (2018) Gareth J. Von Kallenbach Those of us who've seen him and his full uncensored glory will undoubtedly feel that this is a direction that should not be pursued for the future and that audiences want and deserve a fully uncensored Deadpool. EDIT

3/5 Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald (2018) Gareth J. Von Kallenbach While it does entertain; it does seem to be better suited to the hardcore versus the casual fan who might need more than the magical splendor it offers. EDIT

Posted Nov 14, 2018
4.5/5 Overlord (2018) Michael Newman It's an action packed, edge of your seat thriller, with just enough jump scares included to remind you that it is billed as a horror movie. EDIT
Posted Nov 8, 2018
4/5 The Girl in the Spider's Web (2018) Michael Newman Even though it diverts away from the more artistic The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo it is a very good action-packed thriller that would stack up nicely next to the Mission Impossible movies it is reminiscent of. EDIT
Posted Nov 8, 2018
3/5 Johnny English Strikes Again (2018) Michael Newman If you enjoyed the previous films, you will certainly enjoy this film as it's not a huge diversion from the formula and provides the same sort of silly gags throughout. EDIT
Posted Oct 26, 2018
3/5 Hunter Killer (2018) Justin Smith If you're in need of a bit more action and a lot less subtext, then Hunter Killer makes for a great night out full of explosions, amusing jokes and better acting than the dialogue really deserved. EDIT

4/5 The House With a Clock in Its Walls (2018) Michael Newman If you are a fan of lighthearted Halloween movies and can overlook a few silly and unnecessary moments, then this film has the potential to be an instant family classic and one that you will likely want to watch every Halloween season. EDIT

3.5/5 The Predator (2018) Gareth J. Von Kallenbach While far from perfect, "The Predator" does give fans some interesting characters and plenty of laughs to go with the action and is a worthy entry into the series as long as you are willing to overlook the issues and enjoy the ride. EDIT
Posted Sep 12, 2018
5/5 Crazy Rich Asians (2018) Jeniffer Gomez This is an excellent romantic comedy that is served on a golden platter. Jon M. Chu has delivered a wonderfully delicious story that deserve to be watched over and over again. EDIT

4.5/5 Mission: Impossible -- Fallout (2018) Josua Aja This is the best action film of the summer I have seen so far. The attention to detail in the action scenes really shows through. The twists and turns of the story keep you as engaged as the jaw dropping stunts. EDIT

5/5 Teen Titans GO! to the Movies (2018) Michael Newman Teen Titans! Go to the Movies has my vote for best superhero movie of the year. It's a bright shining star in the otherwise dismal DC Universe. It's a movie that is made for young and old alike, but for entirely different reasons. EDIT
Posted Jul 23, 2018
2'5 The Equalizer 2 (2018) Josua Aja The pace of the first film was much better and the story flowed more naturally. Sometimes it is really hard to recreate something and I think this film falls way short. EDIT
Posted Jul 18, 2018
3.5/5 Unfriended: Dark Web (2018) Michael Newman Unfriended: Dark Web certainly kept my interest throughout the film. I felt it took a little while to find it's footing, but like a roller coaster with an extremely high climb, once you get over the hump it's an exhilarating and fulfilling ride. EDIT
