It would be tempting to call Sam Raimi's Drag Me to Hell a budding cult classic, except its profitability and popularity may eclipse cult status.

This is a family comedy that will entertain the kids and amuse the grown-ups. It's also a rare Hollywood sequel that's better than the original.

Rian Johnson's clever, impressively shot film [features] outstanding work from [its] three leading actors.

From the start, it's clear there's a riddle to solve...I'm just not sure you'll care about the solution.

We're left to wonder, who in the Vatican can really be trusted? And also, will Ron Howard continue to make movies about a character who comes alive on the page, but sputters on the big screen?

A lot goes on in this film without much being said, a credit to Keaton, who shoots it deliberately and thoughtfully, in a film demonstrating there should be a lot more work on both sides of the camera ahead for Michael Keaton.

This movie I think really did the impossible. It makes Failure To Launch look like The Thin Man.

Fighting (2009)
There's an effective, unstylized authenticity to those fights. A life or death mania, which enhanced the film's credibility.
