Rating Title/Year Author
Toy Story 3 (2010) Alonso Duralde Suffice it to say that it's the funniest comedy and the most exciting action movie I've seen so far this year. (And I might have ruined a vintage handkerchief during the last 20 or so minutes of the film, but I'm not saying.) EDIT

2.5/5 Handsome Harry (2009) Alonso Duralde Gay audiences -- and probably straight ones -- will see the twists coming from a mile away, but a cast this strong makes the trip worth taking anyway. EDIT

3.5/5 Kick-Ass (2010) Alonso Duralde While it's by no means a perfect movie, it often feels like the purest distillation of adolescent male power fantasies ever portrayed on screen. EDIT

0.5/5 Clash of the Titans (2010) Alonso Duralde To make up for the lack of dramatic oomph in the screenplay, director Louis Leterrier frequently pumps up the volume, particularly on Ramin Djawadi's score, which sounds like cobbled-together outtakes from The Amazing Race. EDIT

3/5 She's Out of My League (2010) Alonso Duralde And even if League isn't up to the Judd Apatow/Kevin Smith standards of smart-guy rom-coms, it's still funny and charming enough to rate as a lovely little post-Oscar season date movie. EDIT

2.5/5 Alice in Wonderland (2010) Alonso Duralde The episodic nature of Lewis Carroll's Alice in Wonderland doesn't really lend itself to traditional three-act plotting, but screenwriter Linda Woolverton puts Alice through her Joseph Campbell reluctant-hero paces, and none of it ever sparks. EDIT

3.5/5 Cop Out (2010) Alonso Duralde Whether or not it's a huge hit in its theatrical release, Cop Out will definitely become the kind of movie that will make you drop the remote when it starts popping up on cable. EDIT
