5/5 Soul (2020) Dave Lee Pure genius and an absolute masterwork. A true, transcendental and euphoric experience for the eyes, ears and... yes... soul. A deep dive into the human psyche in the most meaningful way possible. It's one of Pixar's best of ALL TIME. EDIT

4.5/5 Wonder Woman 1984 (2020) Dave Lee With the chance to step out of the Snyder Shadow, Patty Jenkins delivers a big, booming spectacle of a comic book flick that is as fun and exciting as it is meaningful and timely. A true, organic sequel while also being its own unique beast. EDIT

4/5 Safety (2020) Dave Lee One of the best Disney sports flicks in recent memory, and perhaps one of the best, period. Not only does it capture the electrifying nature of college football, but infuses the heart and soul of the human spirit into this truly inspirational story. EDIT

3.5/5 Godmothered (2020) Dave Lee A delightfully charming Christmas flick that throws back to Disney classics, with a tonne of heart, great humor and enchanting performances. Without a doubt (it) will become a Christmas favourite for years to come. EDIT

3/5 Black Beauty (2020) Dave Lee A sweeping epic with an enormous heart... incredibly moving and whimsically charming... A slightly slow narrative keep this one from reaching its full potential, but its gorgeous cinematography and engaging performances make it a joy to watch. EDIT

4/5 Clouds (2020) Dave Lee An incredibly touching story, told through the lense of a talented and authentic filmmaker. It's harrowing, raw and emotional - but also full of life, love and heart. Make sure to keep the tissues nearby because this one is an absolute rollercoaster. EDIT

3/5 Secret Society of Second Born Royals (2020) Dave Lee A fairly enjoyable flick that feels part Disney Channel / part CW superhero program. It sports great performances from its lead stars and is sure to be a huge hit with its younger demographic. EDIT

4.5/5 Mulan (2020) Dave Lee A wonderful piece of filmmaking, with absolutely gorgeous choreography, elegant design, a euphoric score and impeccable cinematography... a respectful, traditional take on the tale quite easily makes this one of Disney's best remakes to date. EDIT

3/5 Phineas and Ferb the Movie: Candace Against the Universe (2020) Dave Lee An incredibly solid telemovie with a lot of charm and plenty of big laughs. Despite knowing pretty much nothing of the original series beforehand, I had an incredibly enjoyable time, and look forward to checking out the series when I get the chance. EDIT

4/5 The One and Only Ivan (2020) Dave Lee A tremendously charming and cinematic film, with great characters, wonderful performers and a touching, feel good adventure, that is marks above pretty much any movie Disney has relegated to the streamer so far. EDIT

3/5 Magic Camp (2018) Dave Lee A charming and surprisingly enjoyable flick with a great heart and a decent story... It certainly isn't anything incredibly special, and sure, it's fairly predictable and schmaltzy, but the younger ones should have a good time. EDIT

5/5 Howard (2018) Dave Lee This is a beautiful portrait of such a beautiful soul... [it's] a superbly crafted documentary... one that will shatter you into a million pieces before lifting you up by the power of the human spirit. EDIT

4/5 Bad Boys for Life (2020) Dave Lee A really really great movie [with] fantastic action set-pieces... great humour... heart... soul... [and] story EDIT

4/5 Birds of Prey (and the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn) (2020) Dave Lee Whacky, zany, irreverant, bombastic and totally over-the-top.... An absolute visual feast... A tonne of balls-to-the-wall, goofy fun... unashamedly a really good time... It is a joy, a delight, and a blast from beginning to end. EDIT

3/5 Timmy Failure: Mistakes Were Made (2020) Dave Lee It's corny, it's cheesy but charming and funny. It's kind of like the Disney of old... It really does kind of remind me of the films that I grew up with as a kid, and I think I would've loved this had it come out like 20 years ago. EDIT
Posted Jul 30, 2020
3.5/5 The Call of the Wild (2020) Dave Lee A film with gorgeous locations and cinematography, filled with plenty of family adventure, heart and soul... It's a really wonderful family film that the kids are certain to love... but it has plenty to offer the adults as well. EDIT
Posted Jul 20, 2020
4/5 The Invisible Man (2020) Dave Lee Whannell puts a brilliant spin on this character that I've honestly felt has never been used to his full potential... It could quite possibly be the single best Universal Monster revival film we've ever had. EDIT
Posted Jul 20, 2020
3.5/5 Onward (2020) Dave Lee A fantastic, original premise, but... I do feel like I've seen similar adventures from other studios... Regardless, with Pixar putting their own spin on it... you simply forgive its few flaws thanks to the heart and soul of the story and its characters. EDIT
Posted Jul 20, 2020
3/5 Stargirl (2020) Dave Lee A very nice, whoelly inoffensive little film with a really nice style, and fantastic performances... I really, really appreciate what this movie is trying to do, I just feel like I've seen it done way better numerous, numerous times before. EDIT
Posted Jul 20, 2020
3.5/5 The Banker (2020) Dave Lee Not once did I lose interest or enjoyment in it, I just can't help but feel it could have been told better... A great, feel-good story and one that really does deserve to be told, inside a movie that does deserve to be watched. EDIT

3/5 The Willoughbys (2020) Dave Lee An incredibly unique animated film and a pleasure to watch. For that alone, I implore all animation fans to check it out. Amongst the usual selection of generic flicks, this quirky adventure is totally worthy of your attention. EDIT
Posted Jul 19, 2020
3/5 Extraction (2020) Dave Lee An incredibly fun, exciting and action-packed Blockbuster, which I really enjoyed! It's everything we were promised... and not much else. But for a film like this, not much else is really needed... switch your brain off and have some mindless fun. EDIT
Posted Jul 19, 2020
2/5 Artemis Fowl (2020) Dave Lee A bland, unexciting family fantasy of the kind we've come to expect from Disney originals. It's completely devoid of charm, or any Disney magic... Disney made a wise decision to dump this on their streamer, where it certainly belongs. EDIT
Posted Jul 17, 2020
5/5 Hamilton (2020) Dave Lee A completely transformative experience. Not only because the Broadway show is an insanely good... maybe even perfect stage production, but because the filming of it is so fantastic as well. EDIT
