Tv Season Info

One's street-smart and blue-collar born; the other's book smart and nouveau bankrupt. Together, unlikely roommates and unlikelier friends Max (Kat Dennings, Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist) and Caroline (Beth Behrs) are two broke girls waiting tables in a Brooklyn diner while they're waiting for real life to begin. Saving $250,000 to open a cupcake shop won't be easy, but the pair's saucy humor and blossoming friendship make chasing the American dream a priceless adventure.

Blunt, unapologetic and at times very raunchy

When the jokes work, they're funny, so there's hope.

While 2 Broke Girls may be little more than a Laverne & Shirley update, it is well-done enough to make its familiarity easy to overlook.

Audience Reviews for 2 Broke Girls: Season 1

"We are in the golden era of television" Whoever said that should be given an award. With shows like 2 Broke Girls, The Walking Dead, Mike & Molly, Game of Thrones, Person of Interest, & Arrow (to name a few) there is no doubt about it.

The moment I saw the previews for this show I was looking forward to it. Kat Dennings is one amazing actress & has a wild sense of humor, & being written by Whitney Cummings (who made appearances on Chelsea Lately) with her perverted sense of humor made the show all the better.

Now, there has been criticism towards said humor, & the acting (well, the acting was criticized by regular users/morons), mostly saying how it's sexual & crude, racist & filled with stereotypes. News flash, that's the intention of it. If people are going to judge it based on crude & sexual humor then frankly they should have trashed Borat. As far as racism & stereotypes go, I was never once offended by any of the racial jokes, not even the Mexican ones (being a Mexican myself).

When it comes to the acting, does everyone automatically call "bad acting" nowadays based on something they don't like? How is Kat Dennings' acting bad? She plays a girl who has gone through hell & eventually accepted it as part of her life; she's dead inside & doesn't give a damn just fine. And How is Beth Behr's acting terrible too?

If anyone is going to criticize acting, then they should criticize the acting in Person of Interest. Before you throw a bitchfest, I happen to love Person of Interest, but my love for that show isn't going to blind me from noticing how horrible wooden the acting is. It's got everything a good show has except for decent acting.

Other than that, 2 Broke girls is my current favorite sitcom today, & definitely needs to stay alive for as long as it can.
