The tragic tale of the 1996 murder of Olympic wrestler Dave Schultz is told through a profile of American philanthropist and USA Wrestling sponsor John du Pont. du Pont housed several Olympic wrestlers, including Schultz and his brother, Mark, at his Pennsylvania estate known as Foxcatcher Farm, and was an heir to the du Pont fortune. However, mental problems, paranoia and jealousy caused du Pont to become increasingly erratic in later years, which led to the event that inspired the 2013 film Foxcatcher, and shocked both the wrestling world and nation at large.
