The filmmakers and cinematographer Matías Illanes succeed in portraying the beauty of the environment without making it touristy, in balance with the dourness of urban, 2000s-architecture. Go to Full Review

There isn’t a great deal of narrative complexity here, but there is emotional depth, and an understanding of trauma’s ripple effects can unsettle those they touch in often small and unexpected ways. Go to Full Review

inta k @intuciic 01/05/2024 quite interesting and a little annoying :D See more mike m @mmx554 12/17/2022 I really enjoyed the first four episodes, but the concluding two episodes I found increasingly baffling. See more 05/14/2022 This is a really well constructed series with some phenomenal performances which will sadly likely go under most people's radars. Pablo Macaya does an absolutely incredible turn as the down on his luck lawyer determined to make a name for himself but can't help but get swept up in the noble endeavour of helping the family of the kidnapped sister and daughter as they attempt to unravel what has really happened. Along the way, Daniel Alcaíno does an incredible job of conveying the husband's uncomfortable and suspicious behaviour without over egging it and completely sells the "can't quite put your finger on it" weirdness that makes you wonder about him from the start. The mystery at the heart of the series is what drives the show but it's the performances and the location that really sells it. There are some gorgeous shots to be found throughout and the Chilean backdrop is one seldom seen by many audiences but makes a welcome change. I understand the series is based on true events however I don't know the ins and outs of the real life case. I would strongly recommend watching in the Original Spanish with subtitles as the performances really warrant the extra attention required and the American dub feels horribly out of place and isn't particularly great. Do yourself a favour and tough it out with the subs and give this show a chance. It's a lot of talent working at the top of their craft and I suspect if it were a British or US show it'd be getting quite a lot of attention. See more Read all reviews
