Audience Reviews for 4400: Season 1

Currently art an 80/20 rt split, meaning critics love it for some reason and the audience doesn't. I liked the premise and the first two episodes. When they started trying to develop the shallow pretty girl's character it took a big hit, and the clock face got old fast. Characters didn't behave rationally, or in a way consistent with the era they were from. If there are 4400 of them, could we meet the interesting ones? Some of the most interesting things seem to happen off screen.

Yikes, this show won't make it long if the CW is still using ratings whenever this show is set (30 years in the future?)

all this trash has been about is race, compared to the original its pure garbage. i get that some people want inclusion but this does it wrong. plus when they use their powers they apparently dont work on each other but then they do? they need to cancel this and revive the original, pick up where it was left off just set it a few years later

I'm a huge fan of the original and hated the idea of this remake as the progressiveness was clearly going to be very heavy handed, (Supergirl on steroids). I don't care that the show is 99% Black. The Whites are all evil demons who can barely talk and just bark and hit. It's a ridiculous caricature. While we are early into the show, by this time in the original, you had the wonder of not only the abilities but clear examples of the ripple effect of those actions. This show has none of the wonder. It's a shame. I don't hate it as much as I was expecting. The acting isn't half bad and the dialogue feels natural and at times borders on good. The problem lies in the substance. Good dialogue that goes nowhere is fine but boring. I'll finish watching the season but probably not season 2 if the pace and lack of subtlety continue. This show could/should have been so much more. TL:DR, If you're looking for a BLM love letter like Queen and Slim, this is your show. If you're looking for an intelligent and carefully crafted scifi show like the original, you'll be displeased.

What is wrong with the writers? I have read better fan fiction than this trash. They want to force a political agenda and don't care about quality. Do yourself a favor and just watch the original "the 4400".

loved the original so sad of what they did with this reboot.. cant understand why and who wanted to do that to such a great show.. but they did.. and they fail someone need to lose their job if they took such a great consep and totaly destroy it

USA clearly has stuff to sort out. Good luck with the ratings CW.

Despite the nobility of its intentions, 4400 falls prey to ham fisted execution, interesting characters confined to sitting in rooms talking and doing not much else and a totally baffling lack of action and a bewildering lack of focus. The original show was just silly sci-fi fun. This version aspires to be much more but doesn't have the ability or the wit to pull it off.

Luvs it. It's gripping. Acting is great too. Writing is not great so that's a shame but still manages to make me wanna watch it.

I so wanted to enjoy the reboot of 4400. Having loved the original, I must say that my husband and I were both terribly disappointed with this version. The story feels dated, the characters are more like caricatures, and the racist overtones are simply too much. We'll be tuning OUT!
