666 Park Avenue: Season 1 (2012 - 2013)

Critic Consensus: Though at times legitimately scary, 666 Park Avenue's reliance on old gimmicks and lack of intriguing content prevents it from achieving full camp potential.

Tv Season Info

An exclusive Manhattan apartment building is controlled by evil supernatural forces that endanger the lives of its residents, many of whom have entered into Faustian bargains with the haunted structure's devilish owner Gavin Doran (Terry O'Quinn) and his wife Olivia (Vanessa Williams). As the unfortunate new managers of The Drake, Jane (Rachael Taylor) and Henry (Dave Annable) are preoccupied with piecing together myriad mysterious elements from birds in rooms and dragon mosaics to ghostly images in the laundry room and mirrors. Nona Clark, (Samantha Logan), a teenage resident with unique abilities and a penchant for thievery provides ongoing clues to the high-rise's haunting past---and present.

Who doesn't love watching attractive, successful people tormented in gruesome ways?

There's no way not to love O'Quinn's performance as the diabolical Doran.

A stylish ambience and a familiar cast might not be enough to make 666 Park Avenue into another unlikely Sunday night hit for ABC.

Stylish Gothic thriller that almost gives away a little too much Sunday. Otherwise, thumbs up.

The script contains few surprises, so viewers are unlikely to be as intrigued as they are frightened.

666 Park Avenue doesn't entirely lack a pulse, but doesn't get the blood rushing either.

With a story that constantly feels ten steps behind, it's impossible to get invested in drab characters whose fates already seem sealed.

Jul 2, 2018 | Full Review…

Overall, the pilot episode of this new series was great. 666 Park Avenue is no American Horror Story with pushing the limits of television horror, but it has potential to be a suspenseful hour on Sunday night!

Oct 28, 2013 | Full Review…

O'Quinn and Williams are a match made in TV-marriage heaven as Gavin and Olivia, the owners of the show's ominous NYC apartment building The Drake; both actors clearly enjoy their slightly sinister roles.

Oct 14, 2013 | Full Review…

666 Park Avenue is a nice place to visit, even if we don't want to live there for a multitude of reasons.
