Ryan Murphy, Brad Falchuk and Tim Minear reimagine the procedural drama with "9-1-1." The series explores the high-pressure experiences of first responders -- including police officers, firefighters and dispatchers -- who are thrust into the most frightening, shocking and heart-stopping situations. These emergency responders must try to balance saving those who are at their most vulnerable with solving the problems in their own lives. The show draws from real-life, high-pressure experiences of first responders who regularly face heart-stopping situations that are often unpredictable, intense and uplifting at the same time.

9-1-1 is what it has always been, which is a show with great actors put in insane rescue situations. At this point, for it to be anything different would be strange. Go to Full Review

T C Nov 22 I have watched many series over the years. That said, I think the writers for this show are incredible. I love how they transition each situation, without losing the audience, while at the same time advancing scenes perfectly, as they seamlessly embed the unbelievable parts that would usually tear up the tensional thread. Their introduction of new scenes are so fully connected as to maintain the flow logically. This show has an uncanny ability to entertain and make the insane plotlines realistic! Writers like these are worth their weight in gold! See more Courtnee L Sep 14 I only watched for Bobby. (ENGLISH) 9-1-1 doesn’t try to reinvent television, but that doesn’t stop it from being a highly effective show at what it does: entertaining. From its very first season, it’s managed to hook viewers with a well-balanced mix of drama, adrenaline, and surprisingly relatable characters. While some storylines may feel like they're pushing the limits of believability, they work. And they work well. Each episode is an emotional rollercoaster: one minute you’re watching an impossible rescue from a burning building, and the next you’re immersed in the personal conflicts of the main characters. That’s where the series truly shines. Beyond the disasters and shocking moments, the characters are well developed. They're not just “heroes of the day” — they’re people with trauma, doubts, complicated pasts, and relationships that evolve over time. Some episodes even manage to tug at your heartstrings when you least expect it. Is it over the top? Absolutely. Are there unrealistic moments? Of course. But that’s part of its charm. The important thing is that it’s never boring. It’s fun to watch, and episode after episode, it maintains a steady rhythm between high-stakes action and emotional growth. Not every procedural drama can say the same. If you accept its tone and go along for the ride, 9-1-1 rewards you with a gripping, intense, and often surprising TV experience. It’s not a masterpiece, but it delivers on its promise — and sometimes, that’s more than enough. See more Flowering_forest May 22 Honestly it was a good season and I would give it a good review except that they killed off Bobby for no reason like it doesn’t even make since for the story. Also the way they handled the death was very poorly written and watching this story line was like pulling teeth. Over all I’m just very disappointed as this used to be one of my favorite shows and I’ve been watching since I was a kid but the way it’s going I might be at the point where I won’t continue watching See more Read all reviews
