Since the age of 2, Bo has had extraordinary powers that endanger her by those who would exploit her for personal gain, but she was safeguarded by the True Believers. At 10 years old her powers -- including telekinesis and the ability to see the future -- have grown, as have the threats, leading the Believers to appoint her a full-time protector, Tate. The Believers break out the wrongfully imprisoned death-row inmate, then Tate embarks on a journey with Bo, traveling from city to city, changing lives and hiding from those who would do her harm.

Critics Consensus

Haphazardly crafted, Believe has moments of impressive visuals, but its story is merely passable.

I find myself strangely drawn to Believe, not so much because I want to find out what happens next, but because I'm curious to see how the writers can pad this thing out over a period of months without seeming desperate and ridiculous. Go to Full Review

Crisis. seems prepared to do what CBS couldn't with Hostages - create a high-octane, character-driven suspense drama that is both familiar... and unexpected. Go to Full Review

This debut episode didn't live up to expectations, but it would be rash to write it off too soon. Go to Full Review

Believe may not live up to Cuarn's best work, but it's a fun supernatural thriller. Go to Full Review

Believe pitches us into the middle of Winter and Skouras's battle over Bo without ever pausing to make us care about the soldiers or the outcome. It's a leap of faith that falls flat. Go to Full Review

This is all backed up with amazing actors, mostly excellent writing and some, at times, really amazing special effects. Cancelling this show was a calamity of the highest order.
