Critic Reviews for A Gifted Man Season 1

All Critics (29) | Top Critics (15)

A Gifted Man is still falling short of making a dynamite first impression.

It's a show that wants to say something. Now it needs viewers who want to listen.

Sep 23, 2011 | Rating: 3/5 | Full Review…

A Gifted Man is solid enough, in fact, to make you forget it's a ghost story.

Sep 23, 2011 | Full Review…

But the New Agey ghost-as-conscience thing is strained by the end of the first episode.

Sep 23, 2011 | Rating: B | Full Review…

As cosmic missions go, that seems a little weak.

Jul 2, 2018 | Full Review…

This is the kind of show that pretends to be serialized, but is really episodic. If you are in the mood for a weekly dose of forced do-gooder-ness by a really hot doctor who has a direct connection to immortality, check in with Dr. Holt.

May 11, 2018 | Rating: 5/10 | Full Review…

Possibly the season could take some interesting turns... But most likely it will the bittersweet romantic movie that never ends...

Apr 11, 2018 | Full Review…

It's produced by such amazingly talented people and features the best new show ensemble of the year, and so what would have been Velveeta in the hands of a different team becomes something much more palatable.

Sep 23, 2011 | Rating: 3.5/5 | Full Review…

The result is a limp medical procedural with the dressings and cinematography of a spiritual conversion.

I'm definitely curious.

I LOVED this series and have NO idea why CBS did NOT renew it! Great story-line, superb acting. I imagine because it was on Friday nights (I think) , it did not fare well. I wanted to see more after the last episode but...........DAMN!

What a great show! I'm not a big TV Series fan but this show was so well written, so well cast and so brilliantly acted….what the hell were they thinking by canceling it? It kills me that we have so much of the reality show garbage degrading the quality of television and they take this show off? CBS….feed us quality shows! Bring back 'A Gifted Man' and let it breath. It is such a relevant story. I just finished watching 16 episodes in 4 days and I am craving more!!!!!!!
