This series follows the tragic tale of three orphans -- Violet, Klaus, and Sunny Baudelaire -- who are investigating their parents' mysterious death. The siblings are saddled with an evil guardian named Count Olaf (portrayed by Emmy-winning actor Neil Patrick Harris), who will do whatever it takes to get his hands on the Baudelaires' inheritance. Violet, Klaus, and Sunny must outsmart Olaf at every turn, foiling devious plans and disguises. The series is based on the best-selling series of books by Lemony Snicket (aka Daniel Handler).

What to Know

Critics Consensus

The final installment of Lemony Snicket's magnum opus adds new contours to its expansive cast, provides answers to some of the pernicious questions within the series' lore, and delivers a finale that is more graceful than unfortunate.

As Olaf, Neil Patrick Harris gets closer than the crazy-funny Jim Carrey did (in 2004) to Olaf's flawed sincerity, his pompousness that covers up his complicated past. Go to Full Review

Neil Patrick Harris is a treat as Olaf - even better than Jim Carrey was in the movie - and the rest of cast all seem to be having fun. Go to Full Review

Helory P Nov 6 One of the best child/teen/adult show ever you can be frustrated while watching the show but the narratif litteraly say it in every épisods that it isb’t supposed to have a Good ending and that if we want to we. CAN leave the show But anyway this show is awesome !! See more Zane M Sep 17 The acting is amazing and the sets are amazing still just like in the first two seasons. It is an even more compelling story than the first two. Everything with the Hotel Denouement is amazing. Now the orphans do not need anyone to rely on. They have grown since the second season from being on their own, but still trusting others to not trusting anyone unless they are in VFD. They grown a lot since the first season from going from needing a guardian to them being on their own and literally on the lam and escaping getting arrested and now only trusting VFD members It adapts the books just as well as the first two seasons did except for The End because of the two episodes every book got The End only got one so they left out a lot of stuff from the book The End, but still amazing regardless. In fact, all the seasons were amazing. It was a super duper funny season. My favorite character was Count Olaf ( played by Neil Patrick Harris). A Series of Unfortunate Events: Season 3 was an amazing series. See more Petros T @PetrosTserpelis 01/02/2022 (all seasons) Although the narration seemed a bit much in the first episodes and it took me a while to get used to the aesthetics of the show, this reimagining of the classic book series is a definite winner that certainly holds its own, with a great, wacky sense of humour and a really good cast, from which the absolutely terrific Neil Patrick Harris stands out. And, especially in the second and third seasons, the show manages to get across all the suspense and drama in a very powerful way. See more Denner F 08/27/2021 A conclusão da história não me agradou.
