But if you prefer to find your laughs organically with clever, realistic acting and intelligent, insightful writing then you'd best look elsewhere (Ted Lasso, anyone?). My parents grew up during that golden era, chock-full of timeless music and media. Acapulco does a great job of bringing that nostalgia to life, with digestible episodes that teach life lessons and give us laughs along the way. While different in its own ways, Acapulco as a show reminds me a lot of Ted Lasso, in the best way possible.
