In the year 2120, the Earth is governed by five corporations: Prodigy, Weyland-Yutani, Lynch, Dynamic and Threshold. Cyborgs and synthetics exist alongside humans, but the game is changed when the Prodigy Corporation unlocks hybrids. The first hybrid prototype named Wendy marks a new dawn in the race for immortality. After Weyland-Yutani's spaceship collides into Prodigy City, Wendy and the other hybrids encounter mysterious life forms, which are more terrifying than anyone could have ever imagined.

While the thought of introducing new beasties may be tantamount to sacrilege for some fans, it does add a welcome air of uncertainty as to just how these creatures will attack and what orifices they will emerge from.

If there are stumbles, they’re the kind you forgive instantly. A flourish here or there might feel indulgent, a surreal image might make you raise an eyebrow, but that’s the joy of it: this show isn’t afraid to go too far.

I had high hopes for this series because I love Alien and I really like Noah Hawley, but it didn’t live up to my expectations. The first few episodes had the claustrophobic horror I expect from Alien, but it lost that momentum once they left the ship. The world building, characters and horrific new aliens were a great addition to the Alien franchise, but it forgot what made the xenomorph so terrifying in the first place. Darkly lit corridors and a claustrophobic setting is where sci fi horror thrives and showing the xenomorph in HD makes it look like a guy in a rubber suit.

Probably the best and most thoughtful of any recent alien release. The future earth vision of a handful of corporations running the world seems prophetic. Cant wait until season 2.

Excellent! Lots of fresh ideas. Well written and directed. Amazing cinematography and visually stunning. Good storytelling. Whole cast excels at being convincing in character. Lots of action, twists, unique concepts, drama, suspense, emotion and intrigue. Entertaining and captivating

Alien: Earth started incredibly strong. I wanted political intrigue, corporate power struggles, mystery and science, with the Alien elements as flavouring rather than the main focus. The setup was genuinely promising, but it gradually turned into "boss girl/boss robot" slop with increasingly illogical writing. Characters make decisions that don't make sense, security systems feel absurdly convenient, and major shifts in character motivations often aren't earned. Wendy increasingly becomes the chosen one of everything, which completely undermines the grounded mystery I was enjoying. The show also introduces rules and abilities that seem to change whenever the plot needs them to. There are countless smaller inconsistencies, but the biggest disappointment is that it set up a fantastic political sci-fi thriller and then went in a completely different direction.
