A team of people with extraordinary physical and mental abilities are known to the CIA and FBI as Alphas. Their purpose is to hone in their special powers to solve crimes committed by other up-and-coming Alphas. Among this group is Bill (Malik Yorba), who has extreme strength and Rachel (Azita Ghanizada) with the ability to enhance any of her five senses. There is also Cameron (Warren Christie) with super accurate aim and coordination. Gary (Ryan Cartwright) can see electromagnetic wavelengths with a naked eye and Nina (Laura Mennell) can charm others into doing exactly what she wants. Also starring David Strathairn as Dr. Lee Rosen.

The soul of the show is its conflicted "heroes," truly tortured, in palpable ways. There's no cartoonery here. Just adult adventure and angst.
