What to Know

Critics Consensus

Anatomy of a Scandal has the bones of a good David E. Kelley potboiler but lacks the connective tissue to really work, although the starry cast provides an intrigue all its own.

In Anatomy of a Scandal, there is the matter of what constitutes consent and what is rape. But the muddled storytelling leaves the victim behind. Go to Full Review

The only thing shocking about Anatomy of a Scandal is that David E. Kelley, creator of series like Picket Fences, Ally McBeal and The Lawyer, hasn't had a hit since the first season of Big Little Lies. [Full review in Spanish] Go to Full Review

rotten t @rottoentomatoes Jan 22 It started well and I like the court scenes. But the ending was so bad. What a waste. See more Julian P @JulianPoulter Jan 6 Undervalued series IMO. Dockery is excellent. See more Noralie C May 30 I watched every episode, and was left with several questions. Who took pictures of Olivia's underwear and blouse, and when did they take those pictures? Why didn't the defending counsel ask? On what grounds were Whitehouse and his pal arrested? Wouldn't it have been hearsay? Was there any evidence to prove they were complicit in Alan's death? I think not. How could Holly/Kate continue in good conscience continue to practice law? I thought the ending was terrible. See more James G Apr 7 This TV Miniseries was excellent. From the oral arguments, the deposition testimony at trial that was both paid expert witness and pay-pay-click streaming rights was phenomenal. Aside from the riveting drama of Crown Court on an issue of quid pro quo, it had so many plot twists and turns. My favorite part is the ending which is riveting by showing that no one man may escape the British Policeman. See more Ash @Ashley190 Feb 26 Far-right men crying about this show in the reviews because it portrays many men for exactly what they are never gets old. Tale as old as time. Rather than do some soul-searching, they leave bad reviews. This show is not even close to perfect, and some of the coincidences are certainly too good to be true, but it's worth watching. See more Paul W @Webster41 Feb 23 Worth a watch. Thought the acting was pretty good, and was kept guessing until the end. See more Read all reviews
