Charlie Sheen hasn't lost his chops. It helps that his new agreeable-enough comedy on FX, Anger Management, mirrors his previous one, Two and a Half Men.

So far? Not so bad.

As sitcoms go, "Anger Management" is usually funny, often clever and whizzes by so fast that if you miss one joke another is there in a flash.

Anger Management turns out to be a likable, nicely loaded sitcom

If there's any excitement surrounding "Anger Management," the Tiger's blood is in those details, not in the show itself.

Anger Management isn't different. It's just airing in an unexpected place.
June 28, 2012
The jokes tend to be ribald, of course. And the situations exaggerated.

Only committed Sheen fans will be enticed to stay beyond the initial curiosity tune-in.
June 28, 2012
Anger Management, [Charlie Sheen's] new sitcom, is kind of a mirror image of Sheen: scabrously, outrageously funny at times and monotonously one-note at others.
June 28, 2012
Everything about the show tells us this show is on the air because of, not in spite of, Sheen's public meltdown, to give FX a transfusion of tigerblood.
June 28, 2012
The plot seems to owe more to karma than clever scriptwriting. It could just as easily be titled "One and a Half Men."
June 28, 2012
If the series was actually a disaster, that might at least be captivating, but as is, "Anger Management" is just an average sitcom with a few good laugh lines here and there.
June 28, 2012
"Anger Management" is a so-so sitcom peppered with equal parts funny lines and groaners.

It is not a train wreck; it's just a train - chugging along from A to B, carrying the people, delivering the freight.
June 28, 2012
Like "Men," "Anger" not only plays it safe, but plays it wisely, making the most of Sheen's bad-boy appeal and, shamelessly, of his notoriety as well.

Nothing in "Anger Management" is all bad, but not much of it is better than half-good.
June 28, 2012
The dialogue is so weak, the characters so thin, and Sheen's performance so uncommitted that Anger Management sleepwalks across the screen.
June 28, 2012
"Anger Management," Charlie Sheen's return to television, is a godawful, small-minded, crassly commercial exercise.
June 28, 2012
It's still unclear whether we're watching a character or Sheen's sizzle reel to prove his sanity is intact enough that he might keep working.
