In the year 2022, the vampire Louis de Pointe du Lac lives in Dubai and seeks to tell the story of his life or afterlife to renowned journalist Daniel Molloy. Beginning in early 20th-century New Orleans, Louis' story follows his relationship with the vampire Lestat du Lioncourt and their formed family, including teen fledgling Claudia. Together, the vampire family endures immortality in New Orleans and beyond. As the interview continues in Dubai, Molloy discovers the truths beneath Louis' story.

unimaginably wonderful. the minute i finished iwtv season 1, i knew i would never watch anything as lovely ever again. that’s the blessing and curse of this show - you’re completely ruined for life. truly, anything else i watch now falls short of how transcendently beautiful this show was. to anyone who has breathed life into this production - to the cast and the crew, thank you from the bottom of my heart. i will forever have blind faith in you guys because of the marvels that are iwtv s1+2 and now the vampire lestat season one <333333 - to sam, jacob and bailey, i wish i was eloquent enough to describe the brilliance of all your performances . i’ll just say that they’ve just meant the world to me. thank you. i love you guys. thank you for being a part of my favourite show.

All the expected romantic, gothic melancholia and melodrama, but injected with a modern bite (pun intended) and a whole lot more shared-coffin shenanigans. The cast is stellar throughout, with Sam Reid and Eric Bogosian in particular stealing every scene they are in. A fabulous adaptation that takes some bold liberties with the source material but still feels faithful in spirit.

Lol we get it all white people are bad and black people are oppressed. Louie is literally a slave owner in the books and somehow he's a hero in Saint in this TV show. What a slap in the face to the original book and yes I know and said it was okay but it was ridiculous

This show changed my expectation of TV show. An easy 100% with every single thing without exception being brilliant. The performances are off the scale, the writing, costumes, direction, etc etc are perfect. Thank you for this. Actually changed my life.
