The plotline of the show is identical to that of the game. Along with the animation, this is a masterpiece.

Animated fantasy / science-fiction TV drama produced by Riot Games and Fortiche Production set in the League of Legends video game fictional universe about the conflict in ‘City of Progress' Piltover between its prosperous ‘topside' and its deprived ‘undercity' of Zaun that focuses on the relationship between two young sisters from Zaun, Vi and Jinx and their pivotal role in Zaun's destiny and the discovery of Hextech magic technology by idealistic and vigorous Academy student Jayce, the application of which might change his life and life in Piltover – and indeed beyond – forever and could mean war. I found this a great – although not perfect – series, with strong characters, a strongly built world, a good backstory and an absorbing plot that gave me enjoyment almost completely throughout the first series' nine episodes. With a satisfactory moral compass to the show, excellent main protagonists Vi (Hailee Steinfeld) (my favourite character), Jinx (Mia Sinclair Jenness and Ella Purnell), Jayce (Kevin Alejandro), Caitlin (Molly Harris and Katie Leung) and Vander (JB Blanc), a first-rate and multi-faceted main villain in criminal leader Silco (Jason Spisak) whom has virtue as well as being evil, a strong cast of supporting characters such as Sevika (Amirah Vann), Mel Medarda (Toks Olagundoye), Professor Heimerdinger (Mick Wingert) and Viktor (Harry Lloyd) and its themes of family, class conflict, wisdom and doing the right thing, this is a series not to be missed. I would like to have seen romantic relationships explored more in series one than they were and also a couple of plotlines went a bit amiss. But these errors did not derail the drama and other than these things the TV series was without fault. The show was intended to explore origins stories for some famous playable characters from the League Of Legends video game and although I have not played this computer amusement yet I still thoroughly enjoyed the television drama. I recommend it and anticipate series two.

An amazing show with great animation each frame or sequence feels like just a piece of art on its own that could be hanged up on museum not joking one of the best shows in 2021 and has some really likable characters and probably my favorite scene in the whole show is that dining table sequence has so much suspense well predictable sometimes it doesn't take away from the fact that this show is incredible and needs a season two 9/10

I'll be honest, I had my doubts on the quality of a show based on League of Legends but this is just incredible. Arcane has masterful writing, acting, animation and art direction. The plot kept me engaged throughout with it's incredibly well written characters and world. The voice actors kill it with their superb delivery. They perfectly convey the emotion of the characters. The animation is fantastic. Different framerates are used for different effects, everything looks so smooth and fitting. The lighting, movement and everything else is some of the best I've ever seen. The entire show has a drawn kind of artstyle to it. It looks as if all of the textures were created with a paint brush and it gives the show a lot of charm. The music and sound is also on point. My only complaint about this show would be that some characters, such as Vander, aren't explored enough. At times, it feels like characters lack a proper backstory and motive. Overall though, this is a fantastic show that is good for both fans and non-fans and I can't wait for season 2!
