One of the best pieces of art/film I’ve seen in a long time. Possibly one of the best TV shows I’ve ever seen. Found a “making-of” docuseries on YouTube called “Bridging the Rift” Arcane does what many in the action/video game industry fail to do - Provocative storytelling that makes you feel connected to the characters by exploring themes that exude emotional depth. Not only has it shattered the notion that video game adaptations are doomed to fail - it stands as a piece of work that rivals, if not surpasses the quality of many live-action dramas. The story of Arcane challenges the notion that stories told through animation are exclusively resigned to childish stories with shallow or simplistic themes - but rather proves that animated stories can handle dramatic themes for mature and YA audiences alike, and do so with unique style and beauty. Arcane proves that when creative and collaborative risks are taken, and ample time is dedicated the result can be exceptional.

Didn't know the game existed let alone any of the characters. It doesn't matter though, this is simply the best animation, acting, music and story all wrapped up together. I'm sorry some old stiff people can't handle animation as serious art but their lost. Simply perfect TV.

Besides never having even heard of league of legends prior to watching this show with my sister in 2021 the show truly hit me with its writing, animation and music. I have never been the same after watching this and it’s a good thing.
