The writing, the direction, and especially the acting -- all convey a world designed around the desires of its inhabitants, both big and small. Figuring out all the ways that that manifests is part of the story's appeal.
It was... a 100th episode celebration...that met demands as both part of the crossover and the 100th episode.
Even when it falters, though, this is certainly the best Arrow has done this season, not just because of the nostalgia factor, but because of the real people inhabiting this hallucination.
The hour was largely entertaining.
Something about this episode fell a little flat.
Capturing key characters like Ray, Sara, and Thea allowed this to feel a lot more like a universe-defining event rather than a gimmicky crossover.
Smoothly incorporating the CW-wide crossover and the show's 100th episode, Arrow's chapter of Invasion! was one of the best of the series.
