Elseworlds, Part 2

EPISODE:

TOMATOMETER

Critic Consensus: "Elseworlds, Part 2" is a riotous continuation of this body-switching Arrowverse arc, successfully exploiting the chemistry between the television universe's ensemble and slickly introducing Ruby Rose as Batwoman.

With Oliver and Barry still stuck in the other's bodies, the two get a lead on John Deegan and head to Gotham City with Supergirl to figure out why their reality has changed. While there, they meet the mysterious Kate Kane, who provides them with information that leads the group to Arkham Asylum.

Arrow is hitting highs that it's not reached since its epic second year - The Slabside Redemption episode proving to be an utter triumph.

There was so much substance and a great progression in the story.

Whatever Arrowverse, you can't dangle the sweet sweet memory of Scott Bakula in front of me and then tell me not to think about it. Unless you're planning on a surprise Bakula cameo in the third hour? A girl can dream.

Improving upon the opening episode of the Annual Crossover, the Arrow entry gives us some amazing character interactions and experiences I don't think many fans of this universe thought we would ever get.

The first episode focused on Barry and his issues. The second focused on Ollie and his issues. So it stands to reason tomorrow night's conclusion will focus on Kara and her issues. Also? This episode was so much fun.

They didn't meet Batman, but they did meet Batwoman, and Batwoman is already awesome enough that I'd be perfectly happy with just her as the hero of Gotham.

The supporting casts of The Flash and Arrow combine as well as they ever do, the trip to Gotham is pretty much exactly what you'd expect, for better and for worse, and the story clicks along nicely, ending with a very promising cliffhanger

Kane slays as Batwoman, but the reason Rose and the writers killed it with this new addition to the Arrowverse is because of how well they nailed Kane's love for Gotham.

Most of the magic between Oliver and Barry as a result of their switch had worn off, and that was an absolute gas for the first hour.

Amidst all of the comic book shenanigans, "Elseworlds, Part 2" never loses sight of what's important -- the character relationships -- and that's more than a good thing.
