a gleefully loopy fever dream, a hugely entertaining adventure and a love letter to the fans.

Season Three has everything we have come to expect from both this series and the franchise overall.

As we dive deeper into the mythos of the world, it's obvious that "Ash vs. Evil Dead" will be a cult favorite like the films its based on for years to come.

If you like the sound of chainsaws being lunged at dark forces, tune right in.

In terms of bang for your buck, you'd be hard-pressed to find another horror franchise that delivers the goods as consistently as Evil Dead.

Mar 28, 2018 | Rating: 4/5 | Full Review…

And it's this shoot-first-continuity-later attitude that makes Ash vs. Evil Dead such a goddamn blast: it's a breakneck-paced horror-comedy series that, somewhere amidst all those fluids, has a whole lot of heart.

Like any worthwhile season premiere, "Family" leaves you wanting more and makes you fall in love with characters you missed spending time with again.

That's the beauty of this franchise. You just need to get a little stupid and things start looking really, really smart.

Sure, its core cast has basically remained the same, but the new additions give it a fresh feel that I hope will ultimately aid in the series' new direction.

Like the ubiquitous Oldsmobile Delta 88, the Evil Dead franchise is getting on in years, and can be at times a little unwieldy on the road. But with the right driver behind the wheel it's also a reliable source of over-the-top violence and juvenile humor.

Audience Reviews for Ash vs Evil Dead: Season 3

They were right to cancel this show

"Ash Vs Evil" continues to be as much fun as ever. Comedy horror is especially hard to pull off. "AvE" has proven they can deliver the goods. Does it not make sense at times? Of course. Is the comedy lowbrow? You betcha. Is our protagonist a chain saw handed, womanizing loser? Yep, yep, and yep. But what makes 'Ash" so fun is it never takes itself too seriously. That means any crazy, over the top thing could happen at any time. In season 3, Ash learns he has a teenage daughter. He, Kelly and Pedro go up against the more Deadites. Ruby returns (it's always great to see Lucy Lawless). She plans to outsmart the Dark Ones and take over the world. How, you may ask? Why by having a baby that looks just like Ash of course. Starz canceled "Ash vs Evil" so the season 3 finale also doubles as the series finale. I thought it was an appropriate ending as Ash sacrificed himself to save humanity. I've really enjoyed our time with Ash and his Deadite-fighting besties. All hail to the king, baby!

3 seasons out and still as witty, funny, and exiting as ever.

Perfect for any fan of the evil dead series. exactly what you'd expect really.
  • Apr 07, 2019
The show just gets wackier, weirder, gorier and better by the season.
  • Mar 04, 2019
Volvió con mucha fuerza y es grandiosa!

NO don't cancel it I need to watch Bruce Campbell and Lucy Lawless punching each other forever!
  • Nov 26, 2018
It’s not as good as the first two seasons.

In my opinion this is the best season yet! unfortunately it was also the last. I thought specifically the inclusion of Ash's daughter was the highlight. It doesn't reinvent the wheel the way they do it but damn its a good wheel. I love the potrayal by Arielle Carver-O'Neill who is an actress who's on my radar to look for. If we had a fourth season (or a 4th movie) I would love for her to come back and reprise Brandy. Ash is also given some more depth in this season which is nice because he started as a pretty 2D character in the original series and it's nice to get him to a point where his character development isn't just puns. It's a must watch for any fans of the Evil Dead series

Incredible. The humor flowed so perfectly with Army of Darkness. It felt like a real continuation of the evil dead universe. The cast did an amazing job, and I was really glad that they brought in people I hadn't seen before to be main characters. It really helped me connect with them in their roles. The practical effects were excellent, and the CG was present but not overly present. Just in general it's a masterpiece. I also never would have seen that finale coming.
