Two cousins work through the Atlanta music scene to better their lives and the lives of their families. Earn Marks is a young manager trying to get his cousin's career off the ground. Alfred Miles is a rapper who goes by the stage name "Paper Boi," a hot new artist trying to understand the line between real life and street life. Darius, Alfred's right-hand man and visionary, rounds out the entourage along with Van. Van is not only Earn's best friend but the mother of his daughter. Donald Glover and Brian Tyree Henry co-star as Earn and Alfred, respectively.

This season, the journey toward stardom and wealth makes the show's characters both recognizable because we've heard their stories before, and also very unfamiliar because we've rarely seen these kinds of hardships made so clear.

SO AWESOME. definitely lived up to season one but couldve been better. I loved the aesthetic this season 'robbin season' and i wish that each season had an aesthetic like that. Pretty awesome

Benefitting from its eccentricies and Donald Glover's great ability to infuse humor with biting social commentary, The Robbin season of Atlanta doesn't always integrate its ideas with its storytelling in the most smooth way, but this season features solid character development and remains both captivating adn layered, largely due to the qualities presented in its writing and acting.

This is again the pinnacle of television by Donald Glover. Not only does he have a good story to tell, but he also allows himself and his team to tell episodic stories. Like short 30 minute movies that you can watch with friends without having to watch everything else to be caught up. It was brilliant. Because we already were familiar, and loved the characters from season 1. Now they can just use those characters for whatever story they felt inspired to tell. Which was beautiful. And us who want to watch it all, we still have a fun story to follow in the episodes which continue the main story. Madness, Donald! Thank you!

Featuring memorable moments and buzzworthy guest appearances and features, Atlanta’s second season is a strong continuation from the first. I would absolutely watch this season again.

The second season of Atlanta completely embraces the darker and more surreal elements touched upon in the first season, adeptly blending socially-biting comedy and classic horror elements to create one of the most original and unprecedented seasons of television ever.
