The world is divided into four nations -- the Water Tribe, the Earth Kingdom, the Fire Nation and and the Air Nomads -- each represented by a natural element for which the nation is named. Benders have the ability to control and manipulate the element from their nation. Only the Avatar is the master of all four elements. The ruthless Fire Nation wants to conquer the world but the only bender who has enough power, the Avatar, has disappeared ... until now. His tribe soon discovers that Aang is the long-lost Avatar. Now Katara and Sokka must safeguard Aang on his journey to master all four elements and save the world from the Fire Nation.

I wish I could convey just how accessible and sad and funny and exciting this show is, and how infinitesimal the outer labels of "children's show" or "cartoon" seem after fully immersing yourself in the story. Go to Full Review

Nikki A. @NikkixAx May 31 Avatar The Last Airbender Season 2 is where the series transforms from a great show into a masterpiece. The world becomes richer, the stakes become higher, and every character is pushed to grow in meaningful ways. This season introduces Toph, one of the greatest characters in animation, while deepening the journeys of Aang, Katara, Sokka, and especially Zuko. The writing balances humor, adventure, and emotional depth effortlessly, making every episode feel important. What makes Season 2 so memorable is how it builds toward one of the best season finales ever made. The final stretch is packed with tension, heartbreak, and character-defining moments that completely change the trajectory of the story. Few shows improve this dramatically in their second season. Avatar Season 2 is exciting, emotional, endlessly rewatchable, and a perfect example of storytelling done right. See more Michael L @Michael2324 May 20 Truly brilliant cinema. Doesn’t matter what age you are, the story telling and themes of this show transcend ages and generations. See more Ross B. @RossButler Apr 26 Ba Sing Se is one of the most iconic fictional places of all time. This season somehow improves upon the near perfection that was season 1 See more maddie R. @maddierod00 Apr 22 This is definitely my favorite season of the show! The Ba Sing Se arch hands down is one of the best things they could have added because it truly demonstrates real world parallels when it comes to war, and how others will deny and manipulate if it’s not effecting them! See more Catherine M. @RT62564181 Mar 31 Amazing show!!! This is my favorite show!
