In [Babylon 5] both races of gods are exposed, at least partially. Who they are, and what they want, is still unknown. But that's a hell of a hook to leave out for the third season.

Audience Reviews for Babylon 5: Season 2

    Amazing, best sci-fi ever made
  • Dec 27, 2020
Sci-fi Legend of 20th century, had tremendous impact on the tv industry, with season length story arcs and universe building. 2020 and it's still a role model, still not surpassed by most of the modern sci-fi shows. JMS was playing 4D chess in 1993 while others are still playing checkers.

After a soft reboot, Babylon 5 finally realises its potential.
  • Mar 12, 2020
Without a doubt Babylon 5 is the greatest sci-fi series of the 20th Century

It is not on par with season one,has quite a bit of week episodes, those episodes like the plague the morality and questioning of our selves and meaning. The performance from Bruce Boxleitner at the start of the season just does not sit well with me,he kinda grow's on you quite late in the season, the stiffness of Michael O'Hare felt better from season one and given what we know who and what he is in the setting it makes sense.Richard Biggs ,the doctor, will never pass on me since season one really.I dont know why they didnt go with Johnny Sekka from the pilot movie. The switch between Lando and G'kar in this season is marvelous,Lando being my favorite character in s1 and now to be taken out by G'kar in this season is a work of genius in character writing and credit to those two actors who are by far the best ones in this setting so far. The 40 minute episode feels right, they dont drag out and the smaller arcs through out the season give a refreshing style in the pacing of seasons and why babylon 5 after all those years has the deserved praise.Just want to say that my review reflects the score on how good the seasons compered to each other are inside the babylon 5 bubble, not to be compered to othere Shows.Already i can say that b5 ranks in my book top 3 scfi tv production opera genre.

Beyond excellent! This was one of the first shows to do truly Epic, multi-season story-telling. Season One established the setting and the major players. Season Two begins to flesh out the conflict, answers many of the questions posed in Season One, and escalates the action.

Season 2 was MUCH better than season 1. The show finally starts to get its legs. The replacement of commanding officers, although integral to the story, was also a good move. Bruce Boxleitner is infinitely more charismatic than Michael O'Hare. (And honestly, Sheridan was more of an interesting character than Jeffrey Sinclaire.) In my opinion, Babylon 5 started off rough. However, it ended up being the best science fiction television series of the 1990's. Possibly the best sci-fi series ever made. The layer upon layer of politics, intrigue, vast time frame, and more. No other sci-fi series has been quite as ambitious. I loved it.

IF ever there was a show that deserved to be revisited after a number of years, it would be this one!! After all these years, I still come back to a Babylon 5 marathon when I need a good SciFi fix....

Well written, and internally consistent. The acting ranges from competent to brilliant. And the special effects have held up pretty well. They won tons of awards when the show first aired.

    It just keeps getting better
