Since most of us have already watched plenty of TV, we're probably better off without Better With You.

The whole thing perks along like a Honda Civic and is just about as exciting.

This likable and predictable new sitcom probably wouldn't get a lot of attention all by itself.

When it does work, the relatable relationship tics of Better With You should wring a few chuckles from anyone who's ever been in love for any length of time.

It's nice to see some emotional meat in a live-audience staging again, feeding off the energy and reactions of real people.

But there is hope that "Better" might turn into a solid series: the writing is smart and patient, and dialogue wed to Casey's good-guy dopiness lands well.

"Better With You" has the foundation to be an engaging comedy. Right now, it's difficult to commit to a long-term relationship.

True, the multi-camera, laugh track series feels a bit outdated, and the punchlines are a cheesefest, but if you can get past all that (and you might not be able to), you might find Better With You to be fun, mindless comedy fare.

I like a bunch of the actors and it didn't grate the way either of the new Thursday sitcoms did, but nor did it make me laugh, or even smile.

Oct 12, 2010 | Full Review…

Better with You still feels fresh thanks to zippy timing, palpable chemistry, and a sense that, comedically speaking, everyone's pulling their weight.
