It’s not an easy storyline to invest in... Of course, humour is subjective and so is charm: if you’re liable to get swept up in the messy millennial-ness of it all, these will seem like quibbles. Go to Full Review

Creator Camilla Whitehill continues to mix the very funny and the deeply perceptive. Go to Full Review

Sad to say, Big Mood is a little bit of a let-down – though it does confirm Coughlan as a star who can shine even when a show has lost its glow. Go to Full Review
Barbara Ellen Observer (UK) Apr 21
Big Mood cleverly subverts the crisis of a romcom and makes it about female friendship. At once wickedly funny and defiantly serious, it doesn’t let the viewer off the hook. Go to Full Review

Nicola’s ability to switch here from humour to hurt, at incredible speed, is just a small example of the talent she possesses to convey such complex emotions with absolute sincerity, and marks her as a generational talent. Go to Full Review

Season 2 is as short on big laughs, or laughs of any size, really, as before, and another negative has crept in: a lack of momentum. Go to Full Review

Victoria T @riaspages Apr 26 This is such a wonderful and unique show! I love that it centers on female friendship. As women those relationships are some of the most important in our lives. It's the perfect blend of drama and comedy, big feelings and big laughs. Nicola Coughlan gives us another stellar performance this season. Lydia West is wonderful! The supporting cast are all hilarious. This season really lived up to the first. Here's hoping that we get a third season! See more Charly K @RT79165521 Apr 23 Great fun. The cast is sooo great. The entire cast is full of talented, funny people. See more Divian Y @RT53091898 Apr 22 So funny and so real! We goota be more honest with ourselves and also know that we are not perfect and things happens. See more Maria C @Marico Apr 22 A great series to watch in one afternoon, talking about serious matters in mental health as bipolar disorder but with loads of hilarious moments. Really amazed by Nicola Coughlan's performance 👏🏻 See more Mery B @RT51673701 Apr 22 I cried, I laughed and I judged. While the focus is on Maggie and Eddie, the whole ensemble is hilarious. Big Mood is fun, campy, and relatable, with lots of millennial references and jokes. The friendship chemistry between Maggie and Eddie is top-notch. But it’s not all comedy — it also tackles serious topics like bipolar disorder, the challenges of caring for someone with a mental illness, and the father–daughter relationship. And it does all of this with so much grace and realism. See more Read all reviews
