There’s nothing very hazy about the damning portrait it paints of the [e-cig] invention and its recent legacy. Go to Full Review

Of course, vaping was too good to be true: we could have known there was no such thing a healthy smoking replacement. This drama tells the story of a start-up that promised just that and ended up getting millions of teenagers hooked on nicotine. Go to Full Review

Big Vape: The Rise and Fall of Juul is a startling story of how "moving fast and breaking things" might be a snappy slogan in a business pitch, but when applied to something that actually matters, like public health, it can lead to disaster. Go to Full Review

This is a fascinating docuseries that asks hard questions of the tech industry's "go fast" model. Go to Full Review

Scott M @Skeeeeezo 07/20/2024 Like Juul itself, somewhere along the way this doc lost it's focus. Was the problem with the product or the marketing? Probably both, but hard to decipher thru all the smoke & steam. See more Jeff B @RT54874440 11/02/2023 Way too long to explain both sides of the JUUL argument. As a pack-a-day smoker for 20+ years, JUUL is the only product that help me quit cigarettes - (for 5+ years now). Other vapes had no effect on my wanting a Marlboro Light - the FDA needs to back off - and yes, I want the flavor pods back! See more Michael W @mawilps 10/25/2023 This docuseries was really good. The entire crew did an excellent job on this series about the e-cigarette company Juul. Everyone that was interviewed in this series gave a detailed description of the rise and fall of the company, which was quite interesting. If you haven't seen this docuseries yet, check it out sometime. It's a must see. See more Edward G @RT14139470 10/22/2023 This was a really fascinating documentary. I would like everyone to see it. It's a great story about how greed can corrupt even people who have great intentions. See more Dylan M @RT76226928 10/17/2023 Honestly shocked to read how negative the audience reviews here are. I thought this documentary did a great job showing both sides of the discussion. There were tons of interviews from current and former employees of Juul, sure, but also testimony from teen users who were hospitalized, advocates against vaping, doctors, and others. Like many Netflix docuseries, I felt that it badly needed some editing since it was long and a bit dry at times, but I honestly learned a ton about the history of both the company and the industry, as well as the controversies and issues with how it's grown largely unregulated. See more Jasmine B @RT27679837 10/16/2023 This documentary did a good job detailing the history of the product. It was very interesting to hear perspectives from people inside the Juul industry. While voices against vaping were highlighted, it felt as though the documentary highlighted the voices of Juul employees more, which makes the documentary appear to be pro-vaping. This may not be their intent, and may seem this way to me because I am anti-vaping, but there was definitely more screen time for supporters of vaping than there was for critics or the potential harms of vaping. So much time was spent on detailing the come up of vaping and the marketing aspect of the Juul which was interesting; but ultimately, the impact vaping has had on youth and adults as well would be more significant to look into.
