It's a shame that "Quality Of Life" reinforces the biggest flaws of the show, because its structure is rather elegant and it might be the most purely enjoyable episode of the season.

"Quality of Life" imagines Bobby as a creature of pure capitalism, motivated only by the bloodless pursuit of money, without concern for what it means for anyone but himself.

Last night's episode of Billions was the show's first unmitigated artistic success...

The team behind Billions is definitely laying groundwork for season two. One piece of advice: Give Dan Soder and Kelly AuCoin bigger roles.

I actually somehow, despite a litany of grievances, enjoyed this episode. Because even when the logic is baffling, the structure is frustrating and the world-building as lackluster as ever - the emotional beats work.
