There are moments when the sheer drama of it all seems a bit much...But everyone involved in Boiling Point goes about it with such absolute conviction that you might not even notice how overloaded your plate is until you’ve licked it clean. Go to Full Review

Riveting, heart-in-your-throat TV. The stakes, such as misshapen meringue or frozen meat, aren’t life-and-death but Boiling Point fires it up so it always feels like it could be. Go to Full Review
Joe Clay The Times (UK) 10/10/2023
Instead, it’s his [Stephen Graham] real-life wife, Hannah Walters, playing the kitchen’s mother hen, Emily, who is stealing the show. Go to Full Review

Like the hit American series The Bear, this four-part kitchen drama features whirlwind kitchen activity and vivid performances, but with a distinctly British social realist emphasis on the social struggles of the workers outside of the job. Go to Full Review

Intense but not exhausting, it makes you get involved (and suffer) with the characters. [Full review in Spanish] Go to Full Review

While the venue may have changed, the series has lost none of its high-octane energy in the kitchen, nor the stress and tension that oozes out of every order, leaving audiences feeling anxious … and hungry. Go to Full Review

Edmund P Apr 8 Not as good as the film but a wonderfully drawn and acted cast of characters. Well-written, but a bit heavy on the histrionics at times. Still, they ended the series full of pathos and it made me yearn to meet the characters again in another season at a new restaurant. See more Valda R Mar 15 I want to like this but it’s just not credible. Too much larking about while there is a full house. New guy can’t cook? People don’t get jobs like this without references. The head chef leaves the stupid investors who are a bunch of idiots. Someone needs a headache tablet and it’s becomes a soap opera. This ain’t no Bear See more emma h 07/03/2024 Cut throat life of working in a restaurant. Brilliant drama. Interwoven stories of a desperate bunch of people trying to make ends meet and keep their lives on track See more Joshua C @Jo2go 06/29/2024 Boiling Point is a worthy continuation of the world introduced in the 2021 movie of the name. It gives us more of a glimpse into the kitchen and those who work in the culinary world, with a cast who bring their characters to life. Would've liked to see more of Stephen Graham as he was fantastic in the movie, but Vinette Robinson does a superb job in the lead role this time round. It's only about four episodes long, but it makes for some of the most engaging television I've watched in years (although admittedly I don't watch much). See more Claire M @Claire532 11/09/2023 Fabulous sequel to the short film. Intense and captivating. The characters' passion about food is so realistic. Excellent casting. More please. See more Dean C 11/09/2023 Tense drama with every episode reaching boiling point. Great follow up to the movie See more Read all reviews
