Tv Season Info

Ever since their daughter was born, it was only a matter of time before Brennan (Emily Deschanel) and Booth (David Boreanaz) finally tied the knot. And while they do say "I do" in Series 9 in a TV wedding for the ages, it's not before an unforgettable proposal that involves the diabolical Christopher Pelant (Andrew Leeds), whose obsession with Brennan brings them closer than they've ever been. Of course, the couple's honeymoon in Buenos Aires turns into a busman's holiday when they help a detective investigate the murder of a Nazi war criminal. Back at the Jeffersonian, Angela (Michaela Conlin) and Hodgins (T.J. Thyne) discuss having another child; Sweets (John Francis Daley) takes a leave of absence; Cam (Tamara Taylor) is the victim of identity theft; Clark (Eugene Byrd) writes a novel; and Wendell (Michael Grant Terry) is jolted by news that could affect his future at the lab. Guest stars include Joaquim de Almeida, Freddie Prinze Jr., Cyndi Lauper, Ryan O'Neal and Ralph Waite.

Critic Reviews for Bones Season 9

All Critics (6) | Top Critics (2)

The shift toward Booth-centric story lines... give even the most hesitant viewers a reason to stick around just a little bit longer and see what else the ninth season of Bones has in store.

Sep 23, 2013 | Full Review…

With a lot of tell-not-show and with the series using new characters as intermediaries between our central pair, [the premiere] felt phoned in.

I have to admire the writers for giving us a storyline that had me alternately laughing and thinking that I was going to lose my lunch.

Nov 12, 2013 | Full Review…

After the premiere episode it's nice to see the couple all functional again. Granted, it takes a murder... to truly accomplish this, but we take what we can get. And the results really are quite entertaining.

One of TV's steadiest performers.

Having proved that patience is indeed a virtue, especially among television executives, Bones has more than earned its moment of joy.

Audience Reviews for Bones: Season 9

Season 9 of Bones moves the series in a new direction and takes its characters to some interesting places. The writing is particularly good, and is able to creating character stories that evolve throughout multiple episodes and often overshadow the crime-of-the-week. Some of the season's over-arcing plotlines include the hunt for Pelant, Booth and Brennan getting married, Cam dealing with an identity theft, and the Jeffersonian team uncovering a new conspiracy involving a mysterious Ghost Killer. As usual, an impressive number of guest stars are lined up, featuring Freddie Prinze Jr., John Ratzenberger, and Joaquim de Almeida. Even in its ninth season, Bones continues to find ways to be fresh and exciting.
