There’s nothing groundbreaking about the format, but that’s exactly why the show will be comforting to the procedural seekers out there who just want to know what kind of a cop drama they’re getting into. Go to Full Review
John Anderson Wall Street Journal Oct 22
If you miss it, it’s OK, because the writing is such that the storyline gets reintroduced after every commercial break. Go to Full Review

Crowds will be pleased. I have no complaints myself. Go to Full Review

Regardless of how entertaining it is, Boston Blue feels like the next level in "copaganda." Go to Full Review

The first episode of Boston Blue twists itself into storytelling knots to get Donnie Wahlberg’s Blue Bloods character working with the Boston PD, and the way the Silver family is constructed feels equally as contrived. Go to Full Review

scott F. @squingilly 4d It's crappie Donnie is crappie Needs to go away See more Troy S @JackChi 4d I can't get in to the show because the director or producers thought they would "Game of Thrones" it with the dark grainy video. That choice is the villain of the series. It's so frustrating to try to watch, that I just stopped. I have gone back to try to watch it again because I keep hoping they will listen to all the complaints and stop trying to produce an art house film, and clean it up so it's watchable. Maybe I'm wrong, how many award nominations did they get? See more Barbara D @Barb72 Jan 2 Terrible, show, propaganda, stupidity around religon. Cast does not work, no charisma, worst ever seen See more David K Dec 19 They seem to take the family connections way too far with too few other characters. The religious storyline seems forced and the superintendent seems to act more like a captain? Blue Bloods pushed the limits, but was able to pull it off and be much more engaging. Boston Blue .... not so much. Hopefully they can get it together for season 2. See more Charles H Dec 9 I turned it off after half of the first episode. Black woman comes into a crime scene. All the white detectives were stupid, of course, and she was just smarter than anyone in the room. The folks who wrote this show are out of touch with their audience. Lefties are always out of touch. See more Lisa H Dec 6 Not sure why audience score is so low. We like the show and we always love Wahlberg. Give it a chance. Hard not to compare with NYPD blue but I think it’s still a good show See more Read all reviews
