Break Point succeeds in introducing these players and their motivations, sacrifices and fears. Indeed, it is in the study of the mental pressures of tennis where the show finds its mark. Go to Full Review

Maybe my expectations were too high, maybe it was post-Christmas malaise but all I could see was a missed opportunity... [But] the on-court action is terrific and it’s great to watch it without much commentary, just appreciating the play for what it is. Go to Full Review

All in all it adds to the sense that this project is ultimately a sanitised public relations exercise. Go to Full Review

... Some of the best, maddest television I'd watched. Go to Full Review

I never would have believed tennis personalities could be this exciting or grand slam competitions so enthralling, you’ll say to yourself. And in most cases I fear you’d be right. The genius is all in the edit. Go to Full Review

Avant S @RT02026086 10/04/2023 got bored after episode 2, stopped watching mid way episode 4. See more Moody C @MoodyC 07/31/2023 Been watching tennis since days of Connors and McEnroe. I also competed as a junior regionally and this bored me to tears, mostly because it's about nobodies. Kyrios no doubt is colorful character ala McEnroe, but at least latter has titles to back up his controversial personality. Also, let's not celebrate bad on court behavior. As a serious tennis fan, I rather they focus on real champions like Federer or Nadal. Also, wud be interesting to see stroke mechanics and physics of the sport. But here, this series is only made for casual viewers of the sport and to grab their attention via sensationalism hence Kyrios as a constant subject. Nothing really deep or profound for the true tennis fan. More exciting to watch an actual tennis match. You can seriously learn more by going in person to a tennis tournament like US Open. See more Ronald D @DC312 07/02/2023 I do not follow tennis closely.....However, this show is excellent. See more Chintan G @RT20823950 06/19/2023 It's a great never seen before inside look into tennis stars' life. You almost feel you are tagging along with them on their journey as you watch the episodes. The cinematography is incredible, the capturing of important moments, be it their highs or lows, has been done extremely well. As a long-time tennis fan, it feels refreshing to see something catered to the tennis crowd and get to know what you need to take your game to the next level. This isn't for everyone but for folks who watch tennis and follow tennis stars, this is a great watch See more Cordy O @Cordy 01/15/2023 Break Point? More like What's the point!I was really looking forward to this for so long, but what we have in the end is a mediocre mess. They manage to make tennis look so incredibly boring. Its full of cliche platitudes and dull people. Perhaps it is better to keep the mystique with these players, because the reality presented here does not grab attention or interest. Even the supposedly colorful players aren't enough to raise any interest. I am just quite shocked at how flat the whole thing is, compared to other great sports documentaries. A total failure on every level. See more Read all reviews
