An optimistic and fun-loving woman continuously defies societal expectations, and her mother's wishes, to prove she can live a happy and fulfilling life on her own terms. Her first move? Using her entire savings to open a cat café in Louisville, Ky. Kat's in her element at her lively cat café, working alongside her friends: Randi, a bold, aspiring artist, and Phil, the café's resident baker dipped in Southern flair. Across the way, the local piano bar, run by cool, down-to-earth Carter, is the gang's favorite watering hole, where Kat's best friend from college, Max, slings drinks and charms the patrons. All the while, Kat's mother, Sheila, actively keeps tabs on her daughter's romantic life. Kat finds herself in all sorts of predicaments, handling them as only she can -- with joy, humor and positivity.

John F 03/19/2023 I don't made an "old school" comedy with single camera's or even a laugh track. But this is just a badly written, corny, even somewhat embarrassing sitcom. All the characters are too much and therefore unlikable. Writing is poor, even '60s sitcoms have better dialog and script. See more Patty U 02/15/2023 Love it! So fun and refreshing. See more sean G @Sean123456789 12/02/2022 Great show , great cast 10/10 See more gerry w 05/15/2022 I'm still hooked on this show and its entire ensemble cast, and the fact the writing gives them all a chance to shine frequently. I will say a few episodes toward the end of this second season left me scratching my head on what the writers and directors were up to, but it all came together beautifully in the finale episode in one hilarious scene that featured a cameo by one of my favorites, Julia Sweeney. Now I'm hoping for a Season 3! See more W C 05/06/2022 WTH is this? How do they take talented people and just completely not use their talent? Kurtz is so fantastic and OMG Leslie Jordan too!(The Cool Kids should NEVER have been cancelled). Mayim is so amazing but this show she isn't! Why does she think Max is for her? He is uber hot but I mean why doesn't he come out lol. Last night showed the show may have ended. They may be able to go another direction with it if renewed for S3? Like Kat moving back in with Sheldon? lol See more Lexi M @AlexandraClaire1992 04/27/2022 Can't believe this show is in its second season and I would rate it a zero if I could, but the producers need to be aware that there actually are people in the world who hate this trash. A woman is single in her early 40's? We DEFINITELY need to base her entire personality around cats. While we're at it, let's have her mother drink herself into depression as she cries how her daughter is such a failure because she isn't married and doesn't have kids /s. Instead of a show that makes snarky comments about single women and believing they are funny, let's actually make a show with great representation of single women later in life. Who knows, maybe the characters can actually thrive and have fun instead of trying to tie themselves down with a man. See more Read all reviews
