Call the Midwife is one ruthlessly efficient emotion-harvesting machine.

Midwife is super-clever because, just as it's about to lose you, it pulls you back via the most extraordinary tugs to the heartstrings.

Heidi Thomas's drama works because it delivers harsh truths about how rotten life used to be in the "good old days" at the same time as giving off a comforting glow of humanity.

Audience Reviews for Call the Midwife: Season 7

  • Mar 23, 2018
Honestly, this show is so endearing. The narration, set, characters, story lines, but mainly the characters. What a touching reminder that shows so morally uplifting are still being made. I look forward to each episode and find a place in my heart for the lessons learned . Can't say enough good things about it!

Read the book first and thoroughly enjoy the tv series. Was so glad to hear that it was approved for seasons 7, 8, and 9. Don't want it to end.
