Jo D @Bookworm0100 May 13 Jo Jung-suk as King was exceptional in every way. Story appeared as one-sided love story. FL lead character was awful. The depiction was lacking; never believable as really loving the King. Same facial expression of doey-eyed, teary faced throughout series. His feelings for Fl were reflected beautifully. Lee Gyu-hoe as Uncle had demanding presence on-screen, I was apprehensive when he showed up in a scene. Series was a fail-lack of magnetism between two leads and very drawn out. King's Affection is better in every way - script, direction, acting, character development, ending. Ending of CTK was poorly written. Ending it where she was not respectful enough to let him know she had returned, but wanting to keep dressing like a man to travel and play her game?? If she truly did not share King's feelings she should have 'womaned' up and been straight with him. Lack of FL character growth. Felt like King was trapped due to FL not leveling with him but feeling more guilt than love for him.
