Carmen Sandiego is a prime example of how a reboot should be done. There have been some nice throwbacks to the original cartoon since season 1 (original Carmen voice actress playing Cookie Booker), the characters of Zack and Ivy and Player, the look and style of The Chief (inspired by the portrayal of Lynne Thigpen from the PBS games) and of course the hang glider. All the while, giving the character a new attitude and a new direction/mission. It's been a refreshing change of pace for the well known character. Season 2 was as good as, and in some episodes, better than the first season. The individual capers are great with an over all season arc mixed it without dragging it out too long. I love how we get to see more of Carmen's backstory and how the lives of all these characters are intertwined. I personally cannot wait to see what happens in Season 3. I only have a few small dislikes and they are more of a personal preference than anything that is wrong with the show. The voice acting in superb but occasionally some of the accents come off as annoying. Namely, Zack and Ivy's Bostonian accent. There are times when it just hits the ears wrong. The other is Graham's Australian accent. There is something off about it that I can't quite figure out. Of course, this could all just be the way I'm hearing it. But over all I'm thoroughly enjoying this series and look forward to see how the show develops. Especially after the way season 2 ends.

The second season continues the quality of the last with an improving overarching story. Carmen continues a string of stylish adventures while fighting over-the-top criminals. This season we get to see more interesting members of V.I.L.E. For a large operation, the criminal operation seemed to only mostly employ fellow same-age-level-as-Carmen criminal newbies. This time we get see some of the older members for a change and a feel for how big the group is. Things get more interesting than last season. We get to learn more about the characters as we peer into the stories of Shadow-San and Carmen's friends' Zack and Ivy. (I still don't much care for the latter two's stereotypical Boston accents and mannerisms.) The show continues to to try to keep tethered to its edutainment roots by throwing in geographical and cultural factoids. It is still done awkwardly. This is a fun show and I'm interested in the next season. Your kids will probably like it.

A serious improvement of the first season. A more compelling storyline and further character developments specially for Ivy, Zack and Shadow San

If you liked season 1, you'll love season 2 as it continues to deliver excellent character focused entertainment.

Better than your average kids show. The characters are well thought out and the second season really expands on the back story. Can't wait for season 3

I absolutely love this show! Maybe aimed at children, it's great for people of all ages, as it certainly appeals to me. It's simple, it's educational, and it's fun. I wish I had been introduced to the original as a child, but I will easily accept the Netflix version of the show. Aside from the fact that it has two badass female characters, who are great role models for all young girls to look up to, it's great to watch this and wind-down from the stresses of work.

What a wonderful season 2. I loved how we delved deeper into all the core characters including the relationship between Carmen and Shadowsan, as well as learning more about Ivy and Zack's history too. Now Netflix just needs to tell me when they are going to have Season 3 ready.
