Anmol O @ASingh107 Feb 11 I would’ve enjoyed the show however the blatant disrespect and misrepresentation of Punjab and the militants during 1984 is disgusting. This show is clearly Indian government propaganda against the Sikhs in 1984. Sikhs fought for independency because of an active genocide and ethnic cleansing via fake police encounters and massacring Sikh holy sites. This show represents the militants during 1984 as terrorists who killed innocent people (ep. 3) where it’s been proven through interviews and confessions that these killings never took place. It was actually Hindus hired by the government to kill other Hindus to make the Sikh community look bad, however, the show does not address this issue, instead it misrepresents the Sikh community as terrorists and drug mules. The Sikh militants during the genocide, targeted corrupt politicians that were in charge of the genocide, not innocent people as it is against their faith.
