Documentary series following life on the English Channel, the busiest waterway in the world. Swimming the English Channel from England to France is one of the toughest mental and physical challenges there is - more people have climbed Everest than have succeeded in swimming across it. But a team of four ex-military veterans are hoping to conquer its waters and create a new world record in the process. Each of them has lost a leg. If they succeed, they will be the first all-amputee team to complete the challenge. For the crew on board one of the UK Border Force's cutter boats, the challenge is to police the channel's waters keeping a sharp eye out for signs of smuggling and trafficking. When they spot a yacht acting erratically, they decide to get on board to have a closer look. And it is just another day in the office for the technicians who maintain the vast offshore windfarms that help to generate green power for the UK.
